Tiny Chefs not only that anyone can cook, but that they can cook and have fun! This week as you begin to gear up for Thanksgiving week, we encourage you to get creative! Try a new recipe that you might want to make for Thanksgiving dinner, decorate your own fall themed treats, or challenge yourself to use a fall ingredient you haven’t used yet this year such as sweet potatoes, cranberries, pumpkins or other squash, or anything else that makes you think FALL! 🍁

If you need some inspiration, try making your own turkey snack plate! Try this activity with your Tiny Chefs.

Food Art: Make-Your-Own Turkey 🦃

Let your Tiny Chef create their own Turkey Snack Plate using ingredients you already have at home. This activity encourages creativity, color recognition, and fine motor skills—plus it’s adorable!

🧡 Ideas for “feathers”:

Sliced strawberries, kiwis, apples, or oranges
Carrot sticks or bell pepper strips
Pretzel sticks or popcorn for a fun twist

🤎 Body options:

A round cracker
A cookie
A small pancake

👀 Add chocolate chips, blueberries, or raisins for eyes, and let the fun unfold!

Kitchen Skill Tip:
Practice safe spreading with kid-friendly knives using cream cheese, nut-free butter, or yogurt as your “glue.” It helps build hand strength and early cooking confidence!
